About

The Alberta Charolais Association was incorporated in 1961 in order to strengthen its members in the areas of cattle promotion, breed improvement and continuous education. The ACA continues this tradition of assisting its breeder members and associates in realizing all the value that is to be gained by use of Charolais cattle and by their participation in the association’s activities. The ACA is a non-profit breed organization which has worked to serve its members in Alberta & British Columbia areas of cattle promotion, breed improvement and continuous education of its breeder members and associates. The ACA currently has over 250 members, many of whom have been breeding Charolais cattle since 1961 and have seen second, third and fourth generations continue the family business and tradition in the Charolais breed. The business of the ACA is conducted by a volunteer group of directors who are Alberta & BC members and Charolais breeders in the two provinces
